44 local teams need look quite a lot of looking after. The various systems we have are often badly designed, poorly implemented and unreliable. The role of technical support must be both reactive to problems as they occur and proactive in an attempt to stop problems happening before they cause too much disruption.

I have worked on numerous projects which require technical support in a variety of areas. I provide support for the Documentum CMS on a dailiy basis, support for audio, video and text output across the local sites.

I also visit local sites to ensure that problems can be addressed and where possible use my team in Birmingham and wider BBC and external companies to solve technical problems.
